I found my third tail light leak 6K miles after the warranty ran out. It was clear from the smell, stains on the headliner and the condition of the light gasket that this had been leaking for a while.
After the dealer refused to make good on the repairs I turned to the Ford Customer Care Center which yielded nothing. I wrote a letter to Dearborn Michigan and supplied detailed photos of where the gasket failed, and the stained headliner. I told them I wanted to be reimbursed $200 for replacing the tail light and have the head liner replaced. The response was the same thing.
What Justifies a recall?
Class Action? Help!
Monetary Loss: $2000.
