My 2010 Ford Fusion has started to have its paint peeling in sheets from the front bumper around both sides as well. I took it by the dealership and told them it has to be a factory defect but was told since it has 70000 mi on it and past the 36000 mi warranty that it won't be covered.

However, they can repaint it for an out of my pocket expense. While at the dealership I noticed the pain was beginning to peel around the rear bumper between the seams of the bumper and the rear 1/4 panel. I ve worked in the paint department before at the assembly plant in KCMO and know that there are times when the paint is not adhering to the part and that management is called in to fix the problem. I also know how some of the problems never are fixed and still shipped out to the dealerships.

I have always been a loyal Ford owner/employee, my dad is retired Ford. But with this and other incidents with Ford I am vowing to switch to buying import.
