1997 Ford Ranger XLT, just turned 80k miles, totally garage kept. Frame securing rear leaf springs rusted away causing springs to be inoperable.

Suspension failure specifically on Ford Rangers was well known and common at local body shop. This is cause to believe that Ford should have instituted a Ford Ranger recall regarding rear suspension.

I am also ticked off because Ford, in their infinite wisdom, has discontinued manufacturing the Ranger after 2011 and the Explorer Sport Trac after 2010. What kind of *** company would eliminate small compact truck vehicles from it's inventory? FORD ...

That's who! I want a new Sport Trac!!!

Sport Trac did not sell well. New ecoboost Fords get better milage than Ranger and that is why they were eliminated.
