Well They went down to paying all but 426.60 of the hood. It will not have but a 1 Year warranty on the work.

So either way I am screwed!!

Still not happy with this. This is a problem that Ford knows about and is still not handling.

I have a 2013 Ford Explorer. It has started to have some corrosion on the hood around the edges.

I went to Ford they took pictures and told me I was 3 months out of the 5 year warranty on the paint. They wouldn't cover it. I then called them back and they opened another case, I waited they called me back and told me they would cover 900.00 of the repair but I would be responsible for almost 800.00 to repair it. This vehicle has 36699 miles on it and sits under a carport when not driven which is obviously not much.

I told them I was not happy with this and if I wanted to go any further I would have to WRITE a letter to the Customer Relation Center in Dearborn MI. They don't have a phone or email contact. I just don't get it. I could understand if I had caused this issue but I didn't this is a defect on Fords part.

They admit it will corrode with a aluminum hood. They didn't seal it correctly before it was painted.

My ford dealership told me that is is corrosion!!!!! I AM BEYOND PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $1700.

Preferred solution: Repair the hood on my Ford explorer.

Ford Cons: Will not honor warranty.
